Cedar Lake – June 1, 2024
Our third stop of the 2024 season at Cedar Lake was one for the books! Despite relentless rain throughout the day, it turned into an unforgettable tournament filled with incredible catches and standout performances.
The downpour may have soaked everyone, but it didn’t dampen spirits—or the bite. The bass were absolutely on fire, and our anglers delivered big. It was a soggy yet spectacular day on Cedar Lake!
Congratulations to Susie Roloff, who took 1st place and set a new SIKC single-day record with a jaw-dropping 101.25 inches of bass! She crushed the competition throwing a black JackHammer along the weed lines. On top of her winnings, Susie also earned a $100 prize from ZPRO Lithium, providing serious power for serious anglers.
Dalton Williams claimed 2nd place with 95.75 inches, catching all his fish on a green pumpkin frog and moving into the Angler of the Year lead. Darren Hemker finished 3rd with 93.00 inches, landing multiple big fish on a buzzbait during and after the rain—putting him just a single point behind Dalton in the AOY standings.
A special shoutout goes to James Faught, winner of the Heads Up Taxidermy Big Bass award with a 22-inch giant caught on a buzzbait! That catch also makes him the new leader in the SIKC20 Race.
