Sangchris Lake – May 11, 2024
What a battle it was at stop number two of the 2024 season on Sangchris Lake! The day began with a breathtaking display of the Northern Lights, setting the stage for what would become an unforgettable tournament. But Mother Nature didn’t make it easy—strong winds and relentless gnats tested every angler’s patience and grit. Still, our dedicated competitors pushed through and made the best of challenging conditions. A huge thank-you to everyone who braved the elements and joined us for another great event.
Congratulations to Glenn Banaszak for claiming 1st place with an impressive 93.75” total. The two-time SIKC Angler of the Year is back on top once again, and on top of his winnings, Glenn takes home a $100 prize from ZPRO Lithium.
2nd place went to Corey Forsythe with 91.50”, finding success flipping a black and blue jig for another stellar finish. Dalton Williams rounded out the top three with 89.50”, burning through every green pumpkin senko in his kayak to stay tied for the Angler of the Year lead after two strong events.
A special shoutout goes to Nick Chabarria, who landed the Heads Up Taxidermy Big Bass of the day—a massive 21.75” fish caught on a chatterbait!
