Susie Roloff Crowned Champion at the 4th Annual SIKC Classic on Cedar Lake
Yesterday marked the 4th Annual Southern Illinois Kayak Club Classic Championship, held on beautiful Cedar Lake — our season-opening showdown featuring the top anglers from the 2024 season.
Anglers kicked off the 2025 season battling high winds and on-and-off rain, but that didn’t stop them from putting on a great show. A huge thank-you goes out to every competitor who qualified and braved the elements to make this championship one to remember.
Back-to-Back on Cedar: Susie Roloff Takes the Title
A big congratulations to Susie Roloff, who claimed the SIKC Classic Champion title — earning back-to-back wins on Cedar Lake! Susie’s consistency and calm under pressure made her the one to beat, and she’ll definitely be a favorite when we return to Cedar later this season.
Barlow and Williams Round Out the Top Three
Brady Barlow landed a strong 2nd-place finish, starting his 2025 campaign on a high note and making it clear this won’t be the only check he cashes this year.
Dalton Williams, our reigning Angler of the Year, secured 3rd place, proving he’s ready to defend his title and keep his name near the top of every leaderboard once again.
Big Bass of the Day
The Heads Up Taxidermy Big Bass Award went to Joshua Lincoln for his monster 21.50” largemouth, caught on a Spro RK Crawler. This impressive fish not only earned him bragging rights but also an extra $50 bonus from Midwest Kayak Company, who has generously pledged to boost every Big Bass prize throughout the 2025 season.
