Coffeen Lake – September 14, 2024
Wow—what an EPIC day at Coffeen Lake to close out the 2024 SIKC season! From sunrise to weigh-in, the conditions were perfect: blue skies, crisp air, and plenty of feeding fish. The lake came alive, and the bass bite was on fire. With over 14 anglers breaking 80 inches, this was easily one of the most competitive and exciting tournaments of the season.
First Place honors go to Rece Schneider, who absolutely crushed it with 90.50 inches of bass! Fishing near wood, Rece dialed in on a deadly combo—a chatterbait paired with a wacky worm—and it paid off big. Along with his hard-earned win, Rece takes home $100 from ZPRO Lithium, continuing our partnership with a brand that provides serious power for serious anglers. Incredible job, Rece!
Second Place goes to Jay Reidler, who turned in 89.25 inches of bass in a dominant performance. Jay found his groove early and stayed on fish throughout the day, securing the final spot on the 2024 Crossroads Team. Congratulations, Jay—you’ve earned it!
Third Place belongs to Nick Chabarria, who tallied 88.75 inches—and get this—he did it all from a stand-up paddleboard! His weapon of choice? A white frog that absolutely delivered. Huge respect, Nick!
A massive shoutout to Joshua Lincoln, winner of the Heads Up Taxidermy Big Bass of the Day, landing a stunning 20-inch bass on a Z-Man chatterbait!
To everyone who came out, fished hard, and stuck around for the awards and food—thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Your dedication, energy, and love for kayak fishing make SIKC what it is.
A huge thank-you also goes out to our sponsors for their continued support throughout the season. Your commitment keeps this club thriving!
