SIKC Diaper Derby: A Day of Fun, Family, and Fishing

What a day! Huge thanks to everyone who came out for the first-ever SIKC Diaper Derby and helped make it such a special event. The weather couldn’t have been better, and the smiles said it all.

This wasn’t your typical tournament — the Diaper Derby was a “for fun” event, meaning it didn’t count toward Angler of the Year standings. Instead, it was all about showing love and support for the Lincoln family as they prepare to welcome the newest little member of SIKC (whether he grabs a rod or a rattle first — we’ll find out soon enough!).

The atmosphere was something special — relaxed, joyful, and full of laughter. No pressure, no points, just a group of friends enjoying a beautiful day on the water for a great cause. The generosity shown through all the diaper donations truly meant the world, and we can’t thank everyone enough for contributing.

A Big Win for Wil Abbott

Congratulations to Wil Abbott, our first-ever Diaper Derby Champion! Wil sealed the victory with a steady limit caught on a weightless creature bait in the grass — proving that sometimes, keeping it simple is the key.

Top Finishers

In second place, Austin Weidhuner found success early with a chatterbait bite that held strong through the morning.
Rounding out the Top 3 was the diaper winner himself, Joshua Lincoln, who stayed consistent all day with a trick worm and a Spittin Image Jig — a fitting performance for the man of the hour.

Thank you again to everyone who showed up, fished, donated, and shared in the fun. The Diaper Derby reminded us what makes SIKC so special — community, camaraderie, and a little friendly competition.

Something tells us this might just become a new SIKC tradition — because who says bass fishing and baby prep can’t go hand in hand?

Much love from the Lincoln family and everyone at SIKC!
